    The key is a little over two inches long. It appears to be silver, though it may be painted over brass or another metal. There are rectangular teeth and the key ring only connects to the key on one end. Please let me know if you have any idea where (or when) this key might be from.

      I suspect that the ring pulls out and turns. If so it is just a key RING. It is not a real key; you just put your keys on the ring.
