We bought this rocking chair about 35 years ago from an antique refinisher. At the time we were told it was an 1854 Missouri Rocker. I've researched many times trying to find out more about it, but to no avail. Does anyone have any information on this rocker that would help me establish a value?

I have the same rocker, bought it at an auction 31 years ago, I'd also love to know more about it. Please share if you've heard anything. Thanks. What is on the seat? Fabric or wood

That is a leather seat that is engraved with a pattern similar to the headrest.
