    Bought twenty years ago from a central Texas antique/junk store. Not hardened steel. Looks like is was heated for use, char mark on wood handle but no scaling on steel from high heat.

      I Think You have an old Vet Tool, for treating horse tendon injuries and such. Read here on page 4.
