Please help me... I have no information on this oil can, besides what is printed on it. I can not find anything anywhere. I have even checked with the nj historical society and the newark public library to find any information on the Acme Refining Corp. But have had no luck. No one has heard of the "Scotsman" brand. Hoping someone will know something.....
Manda_lea01, I have one of the Scotsman cans as well. I have been researching Acme and from what I can tell so far Acme Refining is a family owned scrap metal company headquartered out of Chicago. It seems, but not sure, that Acme has some subsidiaries. Some information I found on the company is confusing and contradictory, I am still doing research and as I learn more and if any of this information changes or I find is incorrect I will add it. I hope this helps.
