RR Hard Hats

I bought both of these hard hats at an antique store in Superior WI. Superior was a big railroad town for the Great Northern with the ore docks in Allouez and the Roundhouse on the other end of town. I remember reading somewhere that the GN was the biggest employer in Superior all the way up to the BN merger. The BN probably held that title as well, although the BNSF operations in Superior today aren't nearly as big as they were in the GN days. I'm guessing these hardhats belonged to a GN/BN employee in Superior but there was no name or anything on them so I can't be sure of that. The GN helmet is like a fiberglass type material and the BN helmet is hard plastic.
