    Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about the stamp in the middle of these Morimura/Noritake M plates. I haven't seen many pieces with this decoration which I suppose makes it rare, but does it mean anything? Also, is there a name for the raised gold dot pattern?

    Thank you.

Here is a set of similar pattern that also has the raised "centerpiece" - I wouldn't be surprised at all if that is at least 22k gold although I don't know what it would be called. (Nippon is pre-1921, later would say Japan)
