Wine press

Newly acquired wine/fruit press I just got home and need more info on. Actually, picked up two presses this weekend...no, three. The one pictured, a cast iron apple cider press and a Butter press! This one I've not seen the likes of before , though. The square crate is throwing me off, as is the metal Penn Dairies Inc spout... Wondering if this is an added piece after the original round crate broke, but it just fits perfectly and matches up to the wood age and appearance...
Thoughts??
