Can anyone identify this Victorian sofa and 2 chairs, giving an approximate date of manufacture. The chairs are a large low arm (female) and a high arm larger chair with arms that match the settee's arm size.
We purchased this set in 1970s from an elderly woman who did not remember the age but it had been reupholstered in blue cashmere long before this time. We reupholstered it- as you see it- in 2012.
Wow! That's a really beautiful set!! Such pristine condition.
Thanks JS. We love the set and are sorry that we have to give it up.
Also, there is a small section in the large chair's upholstery that has separated from the wood frame- result of a very large friend who made himself too comfortable therein! We would love to know more about it.
