I had a couple extra pins laying around so I decided to make them into lights. I was going to go with regular lamps till I realized I could install lights inside. Looks a lot better I think.

Gmercury2000, that is a great lamp. I have 2 old abc bowling pins no. 19 that i would like to turn them into that style of lamp. Do you mind to share the how-to? Also what do you do to avoid the pin from getting too hot when the light is on? Thanks.

Thanks Oldschoolgal, it was actually rather simple to make these. However to make the ten pins into this type lamp really isn't possible as duckpins are hollow inside whereas ten pins are solid pieces of wood. You could always make table lamps out of your pins as an option. The hardest part being the drilling. Found that out the hard way. Lol. Luckily I had an endless supply of pins to test still. I would suggest if you decided to go that route to find someone with a drill press or something to keep the pin stable and drill from the top of the pin to the base.
