Another that is a little confusing...Not exactly sure what strain to put this one under...Sorry the signature is a bit blurry...Could be naruko/narugo or nodder...as head wobbles quite a bit...however...could also have come loose over the years...Love the top knot...very sweet...Cheers
Susie on this one I'm leaning towards Sakunami, the body and facial feautures would be typical for that strain but I can't compare the signature to any on the album since it's too blurry. Maybe you can take a look at the album signatures for Sakunami & find a match. Let me know if you find anything, it's a real beauty love the topknot too! - Soul

I thought Kobayashi too ... if you get a chance and get a clear picture of the signature I'll take a look see if I find a match.
Soulportals...Managed to get good shot of signature with my 'two bob' camera...!!!...LOL
Much better picture! I have found a match it is as suspected by Kobayashi, Kotaro the book an Invitation to Kokeshi has him listed as both Yamagata and Sakunami Kokeshi. He was born in 1936 and his teacher was Kobayashi Eizo -Soul
I suspected it was Kataro but not 100% sure...so thank you so much for the clarification...You are a font of knowledge Soulportals...LOL...!!!
