Thrift/Flea Market Treasure: A Wyeth product. 1 fl. oz. glass bottle of Phenergan* Expectorant w/Codeine VC Syrup. Each teaspoon (5cc.) every 4-6 hours. Alcohol 7%. This bottle still contains half the bottle of dark brown syrup like liquid. sealed with a little white metal screw on cap. I am not sure the date this product was produced and am eager to learn anything about its history.
Strange that they sell 400-500 mg codeine over the counter here, & I've only known 2 girls to get dependent. When I get a strained back or foot pain, I take 1/4 - 1/2 tablet & it cures the pain. Last time in the States, I was prescribed hydrocordone (?). That sh-t was way too strong & a lot more addictive !
Medicine in the States has just turned into a non-caring, money grabbing business!
