      I have what appears to be the same tricycle. I used it when I was a kid, my son used it and I just restored it for my grandson. I am also having a hard time identifying it but I think that my parents bought it at Montgomery Wards in the late 40's. Could be a Hawthorne trike.

      I just bought the same identical trike today at a flee market. It's brand name is Junior vehicle. It reminded me of the one I had as a kid.
