This was included in a batch of vintage camera lens, hood, and filter holders from Germany. It has a hand strap (Length: 30 cm) and shoulder strap extension (Length: 100 cm attaches to hand strap). The interior of the case measures approximately 60 mm in diameter, and 75 mm in depth; the walls of the lens case measure approximately 4 mm in thickness. There is no maker's mark or other indication of the manufacturer.
I believe that's a lens case. When they made cameras from Fold up bellows to SLRs they made the shaped and marked leather case for them and the lenses. I have sold a few lenses with cases and sometimes the cases are just like yours. Beautifully crafted and well stitched.
