Old primitive woven basket with rounded bottom and wooden handle

I haven't been able to find any baskets similar to this one, so any information will be appreciated. The bottom of the basket is rounded, and comes to a rounded point. Basket part measures 8 1/2 inches across the top opening. The basket is about 7 1/2 inches deep, from very center to the top edge. One handle is about 11 1/4 inches long, and the other is about 12 inches long. The handle is made with two pieces of wood which are nailed together at the top, where they overlap. They are also nailed to the to the body of the basket. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
