help identify table

I am trying to identify this table, it has 4 tops (3 on 1 level and then 1 on top level). I have been told it was a house warming gift. She thought is was a plant stand. I find tables like this, that are referred to as butler or wait table, pie table, display table. I have NOT found one with 4 shelfs. I believe its mahogany - it has chalk writing on bottom. Can anyone point me in the right direction, where I should research it. I'm thinking its from the early 1900's. It has metal tips on the toes of the leg.
