These are a sample of my photo collection taken by my grandparents during a trip to Florida with my mother to be. They visited the Kennedy Space center for a tour on August 20, 1967. They took many great photos displaying our early space program. My mother also passed down to me photos of the Apollo 11 mission of 1969. I have 5 8 x 10 photos of Neil Armstrong, and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, taking the first steps on the moon. "The Eagle has landed" "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". Let s not forget the third member of the Apollo 11 crew, Michael Collins. He was the pilot of the mission that took the astronauts a distance of 238,900 miles to the moon and back to Earth. A very interesting historical debate as well as a photo collection to say the least.
