Hello
I just purchased this set of lovely Horse head /hoof cast iron? andirons or some call them fire dogs. My question is to anyone that may be an expert or someone who may know a little more about these than myself, which is little to nothing except that they are very heavy. Do you think they are originals or repros? I can't find anything online about them.

I also have a pair of these horsehead and hoof andirons but I am missing the bracket pieces. The only other hits that I have seen on the internet is at http://parcmonceauantiquesltd.1stdibs.com/store/furniture_item_detail.php?id=537098 and they are listed as early 20th century and have a price of $3,500.
