Some old news papers.

My mother kept these papers among other family memories all these years and I just found them.
The first picture is of the Pilot, a national paper for Maritime workers dated February 2, 1945. Sitting in the first seat in the lower left corner is my father and if you read the caption below the picture it will tell you he was on his honeymoon while he took this class.
The next two pictures is of the Boston Sunday Post dated January 4, 1948.
(That was the year I was born. ) The feature story is of the six guys but my connection is my Uncle Tony. He died that year in a swimming accident. I wish I had the chance to meet him.
The last picture is another article with my Dad in the picture.
