My grandmother bought this in 1966 or 67. It was the first thing she bought for the new house she and her husband bought. She remembers paying around $50 for it. It's the original shade- about 60in tall with shade. The artist has signed his name on the back on the bottom, but we can't find anything about him. Can anyone help?? We would all love to know more about it! Thanks so much!!

Very nice chalkware lamp which started to come out at those years. There was a massive export explosion of lamps and statues for export from Italy during those years. Many businesses were set up selling this ware which came out of Italy and California. A little later on they sold many plaster tables to hold these lamps, many with marble tops, made in Italy. I remember finding many of them at garage sales in the late 80's and 90's !
