What you have is an artillery quadrant which was used for laying artillery weapons in elevation, for measuring their angles of elevation, and for checking the adjustments of the elevating mechanism on sighting and fire control equipment. It is German made, and is probably WW I, possibly WW II.
Becaus of the condition, and no case, I would say it may be worth $75.00-$100.00.
