This 22-in. long tray was acquired from an estate sale of a friend who traveled the world. It reacts to silver polish as it should but I don't know if it is sterling or plate. It appears to be a modern interpretation of a meat tray with hand wrought grape vines and a rope edge. I cannot find a mark on the back. My research has turn up nothing in this style. I would love to know more about its origin and welcome comments from other collectors.

A knowledgable friend says it is like many pieces of Mexican art she has seen in border towns for sale to the tourist trade and not likely silver.
