I'd like to know more about this trunk I've been using for storage for a couple years. It's about 31"W x 17" D x 13.5" H. It appears that the outside was painted over (bummer) and not sure what the inside material is (vulcanized fibre?) and has leather straps and unpainted wood bottom. I'm interested in the markings inside the trunk. The lid says PHILA.DEPOT H.F BRUNER and the base has the Quartermaster insignia which was used before WWI (eagle with head nestled in wing). I'd like to know approximate age. I understand the PHILA.DEPOT refers to the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot but is H.F. Bruner the maker? Thanks!
