Pic #1 is of the Bunn Illinois Watch Co, Springfield. Pic #2 is of etching that says Adjusted Temp, and Five positions. on the rim it has What I'm going to assume is the Serial No# 3207391. Pic #3 is of the etching which says 17 jewels. Pic #4 is of the inside of the back cover in which it has yet another No# 595227 stamped into it under the words Base Metal which is under another stamped symbol of a keystone with a C surrounding an O in the center of it and it has the word Keystone stamped directly above it. I also found some very very tiny numbers and letters hand scribed in 3 different places, which although I was able to read quite clearly I couldn't make heads or tails out of. I am thinking they are just possibly 3 different inspection marks which were scribed when they were finished at the separate stations of an assembly line.

That's a very nice watch! Your serial number dates it to 1918. The hand scribed case marks you're seeing are service codes put there by the watchmakers who have serviced the watch over the years. Also, cases for the most part were not made by the same folks who made the movements. A person would pick his movement then pick the case to house it. You should post some pictures of the dial side! Thanks for sharing..
