Tribal Art? Folk Art Head Scarf Wearing Woman

I bought this figure together with a Japanese mask and an African carving. I have looked for this style on various sites but have been unable to locate any information. It looks like a head scarf wearing figure and is very dusty and I think old. Any information much appreciated.
