Trench art I am thinking , the artist initials are R L , like to know who the artist is and if there is history to it?
I would just like to say , that it's the ones who have the least that will give you the most and that in your travels you never touch anyone light enough not to leave a mark.

It is an humoristic piece, the "policeman" asking the tramp if he has any paper ... And the tramp answers "no, I use grass!", stating he has no toilet paper!!!
Thank you so much. , I was able to figure the gist of it all . The helmet is German Military is it not? I hope that is the sound of the music. Lol. I just assumed it was east/west Wall politics.... looking now Could I assume it's Holocoust politics?

It seems the helmet is a pointed one, and the tramp/hobo is very caricatural with a bottle in his pocket and a repair to his trousers...
No holocaust indication here!
Okay lol. Well that's a fine how do ya do lol. The cop has a sword at his side so I assumed profiling .. So it's just a lark carving that's awesome. It reminded me of the old singing drunk that was popular in the 60s for home use. The face that is.
Now to figure out the Arrist.
