      Your photo is to small I can't tell if face is cloth or gofun ? Gofun is a white pigment made from the shells of oysters, clams, scallops, etc. . These girls were very popular in the 70's many were sent home by servicemen. They were made for tourist export .

      the face hands neck are like porcelin.....wow thankyou for your info very interesting.i bought it and it clearly had been in the box for many years,i wonder if maybe someone grandma or mother had died and they were clearing out stuff.thanks again xxx

      It is made of Gofun then not porcelain . The customs all have some type of meaning but I can't tell you what her's is . It is a Kimono :-) Beautiful display doll
