Who is the maker?

This is old box with a marble like topping and covered in velvet material. The only hint of a name is on a label situated on the bottom - do you know who this is? Where it was, is it just the place of purchase? Who knows... I think the label could say E.Barber or Barbet. I just can't find that name online.
