I had found this badge with metal detector in the fields around city of G?ogów in western Poland.
A friend who is more experienced with such finds told me that it could be a cap badge of french soldier from Napoleonic period.
During that time G?ogów (then Prussian Glogau) was besieged by french army so it is certainly on the cards.
