    I found this crock over the weekend and can't seem to find any information about it. It looks very similar to Weir stoneware but there is no writing on the lid. It stands ~8 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Inside the lid are the words "PAT APLd FOR". Could this be a "pre-patent" version of a Weir crock or ?

      I have one very similar to this. Mine is more rough on the bottom and has an "L" in the middle of the inside of the lid. I don't remember where I got it, I just loved the look of it!
