This was in my yard when I bought my house. We have no idea what it is. A local farmer said he thinks it's an old mower, but not sure. Anyone know what this might be?

It's a rolling corn stalk chopper. When you pull it through the field it chops the stalks a little but not much. Adding some extra weight helps. I have a modern version of this chopper. Search Buffalo 5200 chopper to see the modern version like mine. https://www.google.com/search?q=Buffalo+5200+chopper&biw=1440&bih=783&tbm=isch&imgil=Zj0PdTfEdVIq3M%253A%253BLi42Wkban2zAwM%253Bhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.bigiron.com%25252FLots%25252FBuffalo-Henke5200830StalkChopper&source=iu&pf=m&fir=Zj0PdTfEdVIq3M%253A%252CLi42Wkban2zAwM%252C_&usg=__2tZqxNgjtdOJmqpS-75H2iPut7M%3D
