whitefriars trial?

I came across this jug at a car boot sale some time ago,i am a keen fan/collector of whitefriars glass although no way an expert. this jug has all the features of a whitefriars piece with the polished pontil etc.
The colour originally sparked my interest as it is kingfisher blueish however whats more intriguing is the pattern on the glass.i have never seen anything like it, I have done some limited research and found that Geoffrey Baxter did some experimental work with wire netting does anyone think this might be one of those pieces?
I would welcome any opinions and comments particularly from whitefriars collectors.
