This is about 10" tall, has AG stamped on the bottom near the ladies feet. My friend was given it by her grandfather who was in world war 1 and he was German. We think it's Ivory. Can anyone tell us anything else about it please.
Have done the hot needle test and it doesn't burn, also done the saliva test. It's definitely Ivory, does anyone know what it is and who might of made it and what it could be worth. Thank you

What does the bottom look like? In pic 4 it looks like there's pores, like it was molded out of some kind of resin, and how was the AG stamped into it?
It's a nice piece, but I think maybe from the 1940's, resin molded. :^)

Here is something similar, to what I think it is:

Thanks for your reply, tried the hot needle test it didn't burn, the initials are carved in I think, will attach pics of that & the bottom. Thanks

Thanks Scattymooo, and welcome to CW! :^D
You can't get a value of something here at CW, and in the U.S., if that's where you are, you can't sell Ivory either.
To me it looks like the A.G. was put on with an electric engraving tool, probably to identify it if lost. Anything in ivory that large, would be worth quit a bit though, and you should have it checked by an expert, to be sure. Good Luck! :^)
