I thought this was the loveliest little tray but have ZERO clue in terms of pattern, or original use for that matter! My brain said "bon bon", but I'm thinking now this could also have been an olive/pickle/relish dish. Measures 4 3/4" across round and 6 1/2" from taper (handle?) to rounded end, and only 1" tall to scalloped rim. Scallop points are all there and so is most of the gold :)

      Thanks TallCakes!
I suppose in 1908 if it was sold as "tray" then the buyer can use it wherever they need it :)
