    My wife have been lovers of the shaker design for 30 years. Purchase this piece sometime back at a garage sale because we thought it was shaker

    Ive spent time on the Internet trying to determine what it was used for( beyond being a shaker box with they wood handle) and have yet to find a single picture that matches

    Anyone know if this is in fact a shaker piece and what they might have used this for

      I love the shaker style and lines as well. I don't know about your piece but my first thought was maple sap/syrup.
