Actual flight progress strip and communication relay with Voyager 1 from 1986. Communication at the time was accomplished by a high frequency provider( Aeronautical Radio Inc.). Documents show discussion between the controller at the time and Voyager 1 considering how to contact Guam Center as the aircraft reached the Guam area. Additionally, Rutan was attempting to make contact with the Today Show for an in flight interview.
