    I'm trying to research this item. It has a jade insert on both sides. I thought it was a Asian Snuff bottle, however it stands approximately 8" tall which I think it larger and a snuff bottle.

      Found a very similar, same size, described as Mongolian, 19th century:

      A pity there is only one pic, I'd love to see the end of the stopper, is it a tube too...?
