I bought these because they were so interesting. The price tag said they were supports for a shelf. They come apart as you can see, and screw together. I can’t find any information on them. Can anyone help??

yes, they are New Martinsville Glass window shelf supports.

Hey TallCakes it’s me again... still needing to pick your brain. Poor you! ;)
So from what I understood about the patent the creator had a vase in mind, and not a shield support??. So I’m guessing it made a better shelf support than a vase? Still super cool either way.

my only guess would be that the inventor's term of 'display vase' was interpreted by users/collectors to be a shelf support vase. These are most often called shelf supports by collectors these days.
