The painting is in doubt to whether it was truly created by Eduoard Manet. If anyone has seen a sketch, drawing, or similar painting. Please add. If you know this artist, Please add.. we love to hear from you. The painting has a distinct number clearly showing a 419 with a dot after the 419. Possibly a dealer number or lot number. This number only shows up in infrared. There are clear Markings burnt into the wood.
There are many comparable to this painting such as the famous Lemon, The Pair, the Garlic.. please perform a google search for these painting, but these comparables only provides circumstantial inclination. The painting has a few more infrared inscription under the paint which has a clear M and then words with a French C looks like Çôra V Vue. The painting glows under UV with a yellow green glow showing great age which reflect butimen laquer over the paint. A practice done by French Art dealer to preserver and enhance the painting
