I picked this at a yard sale this summer,it is solid brass,fabric lined,about 6 or 7 inches long,also has a chain,looks to be brass or gold.some guy on a tv show said if you never seen one before(BUY IT)...
I cannot not find any info anywhere on this item....HELP..

Is there an etched number under the clasp of your purse. My purse is similar and has an etched #14. I'm wondering if these are numbered purses in a group.
