Teak and brushed aluminum vase.

I have had this metal and wood bud vase for a few years. I bought it at an estate sale for two dollars. Most of the furniture was MCM and older.
Although it is signed, I can not make it out.
Any help identifying the artist would be appreciated. Also, I am guessing at the materials.
