      I believe that style is Early American. You just don't see that kind of construction now with the way the corner braces are made and installed. Great hinges for the lid also.
      A little sanding and new coat of varnish is all it needs; it has held up well and would be a nice conversation piece and well as being a great piece of furniture!
      Nice find.
