Here is a US M1 helmet liner I bought that came with a WW2 helmet, I know it’s not WW2 Im just curious if it’s Vietnam or later or earlier.
The marking on the strap says: "GROUND TROOP HELMET LINER
DLA500-B3-C-4510"
The marking on the liner says: "HELMET GROUND TROOPS TYPE 3 LOT NO. 11"
The manufacturers mark says: "US 78" and a wide T mark underneath.
This may be a U.S. helmet issued to other countries. The U.S. didn't like it that many, if not most, countries were using German style helmets after WWII.
