I feel as though I should know about this chair, but cannot put my finger on it. I know it has been recovered, but that is not what is throwing me. Does anyone recognize this? Cane lower back with toll type painted upper back, front and pin striped arms., which show little variation in line thickness, so someone was skilled at using a pin stripping type sword or brush. The arms are flared out. And then there is the shaker style side flare to the front legs only, which I recognize, but cannot put a name to. Kind of has a bamboo look, almost. Man! I hate it when this happens........
Thanks for looking and for any help in identifying.

      Hi there Mark,
I think your very nice chair is in the English Regency style and could be described as a Regency style cane-backed elbow/carver or arm chair with ring turned splayed legs. If you Google using the search terms: regency, chair, "ring-turned", cane, you'll should find chairs similar to yours.
      Best regards,
      Dan
