pair of old wooden pipe trays

They aren't all that much to look at, are they...just old shallow but kinda long wooden boxes. "Trays", we call them in the pipe organ world, where similarly shaped boxes are commonly used to store and/or transport fragile organ pipes. Every organ shop has bunches of them.

THESE TWO are actually slightly special, indeed historic in a way, due to their exact provenance. For now, and until I have a little bit more time to attempt an idea to give them a fresh (hopefully interesting?) 'new life', I'll spare y'all the gory details of that.. ;-)

For the record, it is entirely possible (if not likely?!) that each of these have been banging around somewhere or other since the 1920's...really...
