Bridal Bouquet Bloom

I have no idea who made this but strangly it was registered with the British Board of Trade in February 1884 by a wholesale druggist from New York called Selah Reeve Van Duzer. It has the UK Board of Trade registration mark underneath but also the word "desposé" which at least suggests some French connection - although Van Duzer also had an office in Paris as well as New York and London. I presume that there are thousands of these figurines out there but very little has been written about them - or if there is I can't find it. Help!
