Can anyone help me is this worth something? I know silver pennies were made at one point but I've never heard of them being made in 2012. Please any info on what this could be would really help

Sure we can help ,,,the US mint never made silver pennies
in 1943 Steel pennies were made To
conserve copper needed for the war effort..
Pennies now are made of zinc with a copper coating
The copper coating has been removed from your Cent
