I am not sure how old or what this was used for. Any help identifying this item would be greatly appreciated.
Bought it at an estate sale just because I liked the piece.

i m thinking its a bottle for a oil or kerosene stove there should be a lid with a spring sticking out when u turn it up side down and put it in place the spring opens a hole for the fuel too drip out i just got a metal one with a gauge on it i will put a picture on later ,
