My son and daughter-in-law bought this beautiful piece for me as a Christmas present from an antique auction. Can anyone tell me the history of this piece?
Any information would be great.
It shows no seams and is open all the way through, from top to bottom.
The circles on it are curved inward a bit. It is hand painted and has some guilding on it. The glass is pink with a white opalescence covering all but the circles.

I have been searching the internet. Are these bohemian lustres? If so, how do you put a candle in it. The hole goes all the way through. And did these always come in pairs or could they be purchased separately? How do I find out the year? Or who the maker was. Thanks for any help.

Bohemian overlay cut to pink lustre.Very beautiful!! This may have been a lamp.Check scandinavian_pieces profile for a variety of beautiful pieces.
