    The reel is in perfect condition. It has rope in inside the reel, as oppose to fishing line. I believe it is from the 1800's.

      wilsonmrtn: Not sure what you mean by rope-back in the day we used braided cotton line that had to be dried after every fishing trip.Your reel looks like a fly rod single action reel-

      Thank You! I have no idea what it was. I know that it is from around the 1800's. It is rope inside the reel.
