Hard to find WWI era USMC Marine Corps mascot Chalkwear. The Bulldog is in rough shape, but he is complete. Front says "DEVIL DOG", right side says: "HE HAS NO MASTER" and the left side says: "U.S. MARINE". Back of figurine has an inscription: "Made by permission of the United States Marine Corps"
He is chipped and nicked and scratched, but even so, he is super hard to find. I saw one of these at a military show 12 years ago with his helmet completely missing its rim, leg glued back on, and spiked helmet war souvenir missing, and the price was $250.00.
This was an Ebay find several years ago for $25.00 He now has a new loving home, and will be taken care of.
    Enjoy!
